The Walk Project: Umbilical City

The Walk Project: Umbilical City is an interdisciplinary initiative exploring urban ecology and resilience in Long Island City, Queens. Through participatory walks and digital drawings, the project engages the community in vital conversations about ecological fragility in the face of a changing climate. By capturing the resilient life forms of New York City, Umbilical City offers accessible, immersive experiences that connect urban residents with the natural world, marking a pivotal, community-grounded shift in my artistic practice.

The project will feature an interactive community walk hosted in partnership with the Hunter’s Point Parks Conservancy, tentatively planned for late October at Gantry Plaza State Park.
