Texas Self-portrait photo series

Texas Self-portrait is a life-size photo series investigating the relationship between the artist and her new environment, Texas. Yoon Cho has moved many times in her life and it has deeply affected her interest in examining the relationship between herself and her surroundings. The photographs are taken in front of Texas native plants, her house, beach, etc. Each photograph is combined with graphics of Yoon Cho's heartbeats, x-ray of ovaries, a thumbprint, compass as a guiding light, labyrinth and the map of her neighborhood in suburbia.
